    Was thinking

The news media and mush for nuts gun owners are either selling or buying into the other countries low gun violence left wing propaganda and touting it as though it is the only kind of violence out there .
So , I got to thinking , you know people are people no matter were they are and I think it safe to say any country has its villains .
I typed in UK muggings since they claim virtually no gun violence and whala ! They are very much like everyone else and have their share of violent problems . http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...on-Harlem.html
This was what popped up at the top of the search .
Dog tag needs to get on the ball .

I wonder what would be the result if Murder was searched for London. What with all the new inhabitants that have migrated there if there was any change not only in numbers but in attitude of the UK citizens.

Took my own advise and found the following. The Metro News dated 3-21-18 has a lead in as follows:
"There have been 8 murders in the last 7 days." According to the article, 6 were stabbed, 1 was shot and the last one was shot and stabbed.

      This explains a lot:

Much of the political thinking about violence in the United States comes from unfavorable comparisons between the United States and a series of cherry-picked

Killing the old fashioned way. Used to be like that out here in the wild west. Mexicans stabbed each other. When I read the article, I thought how much fun it would be to have some punk pull a knife on me...and then pull out my .45(you call that a knife?), but that's how things escalate. I'm glad it still takes work to kill someone in the UK.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

          one at a time

I have a friend whos London CID {detective} who came for a visit. I took him to the range where he delighted in all my guns as he had no firearms training. I asked about the dispraportionate gun crime rate and he confirmed that was with out doubt.

He then went on to note that London had a disprportionate amount of deaths by ballpeen hammer compared to The States .....

but he furtherd that though by mentioning that most of their murders happen one at a time

I once did some research -- in England, they count "murders." In the US we count "homicides"

The difference is, you find a guy lying in the gutter with a knife between his shoulder blades, in the US that would be a homicide and we'd count it. In England, a court has to decide -- and many homnicides get swept under the table that way.

That's they way they play the game over there. I had an Englishman tell me England is "95% literate" and he had the official figures to back it up. But I probed a little deeper.

In the US, we have "Functional illiteracy" and define that as "Unable to read the label on a package of food, unable to read a simple children's book, unable to fill out an application form."

In England, they have "Literacy" and define that as "Having attended five years or more of school."

In Koko's aria "I've got a little list" from The Mikado he speaks of:
"The idiot who praises/with enthusiastic tone/all centuries but this/and every country but his own!"
