Even Rush Limbaugh was telling Trump he should veto the spending bill… “because it backs him into a corner.”
The Dems were out in force warbling and cheering about how there was no money for the wall, Planned Parenthood is to continue being funded, and etc. etc..
On the other hand Trump was laughing his ass off. His tweet about possibly vetoing the bill greatly increased the audience for the fake signing presser and he knew that 1) The bill he had already signed was not a “budget,” and in fact puts off a real budget for two years! 2) All that money going to defense… can in reality be spent on just about anything including a “Border Defense Wall.” 3) Since this is not a budget, he doesn’t have to spend it all and can return unspent funds to the Treasury, you can say goodbye to Planned Parenthood.
