Then there's the privilege of opening casinos in states that prohibit gambling, selling un-taxed gas & cigs, and so on.

How the f* can you be a "citizen" of some stone-age "nation" and ALSO the US?
Hmmmm. You are correct. I forgot about those little bennies.

The phony idea of an "independent nation," having its own laws & citizens, within the territory of this country makes a travesty of the meaning of US citizenship & sovereignty. If a reservation can be considered an "independent nation," its residents should not have the right to vote in US elections, and sure as hell shouldn't be eligible for any benefits paid for by US taxpayers. When reservations were originally established, their residents were not considered US citizens.

We are discussing a moot point. Check, if you can, the amount of dollars that have been paid out to black descendants of black farmers who were discriminated against by the US Dept of Agriculture. No proof of discrimination required, only an assurance that someone in the family once farmed or followed a mule. The amounts paid are obscene, and the money is still flowing freely every month. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of home mortgages that were taken out, and never paid one payment. These were later "forgiven" by the Obama gang. So, when the request is made for reparations, what they mean is more reparations. Regards, Clark

Hmmmm, she was a MO House of Representative from 2005 to 2011.

Lets' see.........Obama POTUS after 2008........Dems controlled both US House and Senate from 2009 to 2011.

If she was serious there were two whole years and a perfect time to do something....... Yet no mention of reparations?

            Gee.......I wonder why?
