    Is the USA approaching this?

The following is attributed to Hubert H. Humphrey. Considering what is happening in and being revealed concerning the " deep state" within our government does the following apply? Is it the beginning of tyranny?

"The right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against the tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible."
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
    Author unkown.

Lets digest the great HHH (Hubert Horatio Humphrey's phrase here. In MN we called him and his talks HHH Hot Humid and Hazy....with the emphasis on Hazy)

"The right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government" <-- Okay........so far!

"one more safeguard against the tyranny which now appears remote in America," <-- partially true in 1968 when everyones attention was distracted on that NO GOOD FIASCO in Vietnam (I was there and it was a waste of time money legs eyes and a lot of LIVES!)

"but which historically has proved to be always possible." <-- Okay...but this is kind of vague... Yes, possible if you look at the 1946 event in Athens, TN (google it....numerous sources). However, I'd hate to go up against todays National Guard or our US Army. Their weapons and night vision devices are light years ahead of anything I own.

Let me quote that old MN saying again "Hot, Humid, and HAZY" !!!

It's very possible. Given half a chance, Pelosi and Schumer
would scrap the Constitution in a heartbeat.

"Liberty is only one generation away from extinction". That's the push behind 'college for all'. Most of today's HS grads haven't got the mental skills to handle anything deeper than indoctrination. Which is why Bill Ayers focused his energy on secondary 'education'.

People who can't read they're own diplomas will be
working in Government positions of authority in a few years.
Isn't that something to look forward to.

Equally dangerous are those who would follow a charismatic leader blindly as he/she dismantles institutional checks against the abuse of power. Before bone, there is soft tissue.
