Boy Scouts Changing Name; Will Now Admit Girls

This is not all that new. The Canadian Boy Scouts did that in 1998 and apparently there have been few problems except that the Girl Guides of Canada were pretty unhappy at the potential loss of some of their members. They are now called Scouts Canada

Scouts all over the world admit girls, and rarely have issues. They look on out gender divided Scouting programs as an aberration.

I know my two girls, who both joined the Boy Scouts as Venturers, would have wanted to join their brother as Eagle Scouts.
