Geezus... what a stupid thing to say. I have kids that I taught to respect others and taught them that if they follow the Ten Commandments to the best of their ability, they would make good citizens, good wives or husbands, and good parents.

They wouldn't have to know Exodus 123, Psalms 35, or be able to recite 1,000 other verses. The Ten Commandments pretty much takes care if everything you need to know to have a meaningful and good life.

The Ten Commandments are the knowledge of Sin....it's the law presented to make them aware of Gods holiness. And apart from Him we can do nothing. Without faith it is impossible to please Him.
