the basics of it is, kids are not taught how to deal with things anymore, whether its bullying in whatever form or having any other form of difficulty in life. heck we got bullies on this forum right here, i dont hear of anyone offing themselves over bitter old mens tirades, and lunatic ravings.

My sympathy Sam. Friend took his life two weeks ago, and we are all ?? Too many lately.

Bullying is not limited to the young. Well to do widow (7 million) lost the election in the small town of a few hundred where she lives. Has convinced the DA to prosecute seven people who changed their voter registration that year for election fraud. Our state only requires 32 days residency to register to vote, and oddly enough, there are more than seven people who registered to vote that cycle. The others are of her party, and the seven prosecuted are of the opposite party.

I don't know about punching him in the nose. I was smaller and happened to have a hockey stick with me. I hit him with it and he was off school for two days. There were no repercussions and we became close friends. Until this minute I never considered that I could have been thrown out of school for using a weapon. That was about 60 years ago so I don't think that I have to worry too much anymore.

Got messed with.. got into a couple of fights, eight grade, and junior year and the kids who could take me had respect for me.

I don't know why everybody has to have their nose stuck in a phone or computer ALL the time!! The kids need to learn to talk and play and run and get along best they can with one another and the parents need to do the teaching instead of having THEIR noses stuck in a phone or computer ALL the time. Mine know that someone is always going to be saying things, some good, some bad. If it's not true, don't worry about it and the one trying to start the trouble will be mad because their little ploy didn't work. I also teach them, as an older woman I knew used to say, when someone is talking about you, just say "if you're talking about me, you're either bragging on me or you're lying". Gives them a chuckle and life goes on.
