    #Metoo Reversed

    I love this story.

Over the last couple of years a female member of Canada's Parliament named Christine Moore has been responsible for having three members of Parliament expelled by their caucus after she made allegations about inappropriate sexual conduct. The first two were made against members of the Liberal Party and our Prime Minister, being a total feminist, threw both of them out. (Note that she was not the purported victim; she had just heard stories). More recently she made an allegation against a member of her own New Democratic Party and the Party Leader suspended him pending a secret investigation. When he decided that the investigation was nonsense and went public, he was expelled. In this case it turns out that his crime was to stand too close to women that he was talking to and apparently disagreed with Moore on a policy issue.

Now the fun part. She has herself just been suspended from caucus for sexual impropriety with a badly wounded Afghanistan vet. She was on a Parliamentary committee that was looking at the treatment of wounded veterans and the corporal appeared before the committee. After the hearing she took him back to her office, plied him with fiery liquors (gin) and then went back to his hotel. This was followed by a certain degree of harassment across the country. He just went public, pointing out that he was a mere corporal and she was a member of parliament - a clear power imbalance. He also said that he went public when he decided that her hypocrisy was too much to bear.

At one time anyone hearing this would have said that they were about the same age; that she had spent three years as an army nurse and would have had great empathy; that they were both young and horny and that it was their own business. Not now.

Did I mention that the New Democratic Party is socialist and that they tend to try to grab the high moral ground and be sanctimonious. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch

You don't understand -- liberals make rules for OTHER people to follow.

Poetic justice, but not as poetic as what happened yesterday to the A.G. of NY--a rabid Trump-hater & Metoo-er. Charges of physical abuse were made by 4 of his old flames, with proofs so convincing that he resigned immediately.
