But the issue of welfare running out NEVER comes up. While the money may or may not come out of a different pot it is still the taxpayers money.

SS and Medicare are programs we not only paid into but were forced to pay into. While they are somewhat like Ponzi schemes and will some day run out or be reduced welfare ( the farming and harvesting of democrat voters ) keeps on ticking.

You are correct Sam. Medicare and Social Security are paid for by the FICA tax. FICA = Federal Insurance Contribution Act. You paid for your Social Security and Medicare -- just like you paid for your life insurance, homeowner's insurance and so on.

The problem is, Congress has plundered Medicare and Social Security, used the money to buy votes and now OUR insurance is running out.

My SS wouldn't keep a dead mouse for long, that is the major reason for restarting my business from the early 90's to make a larger difference. I am hoping for similar results from my first business, if so my bride can retire in 18 months @ age 62.
