Columbia Professor Blames Israel For "Every Problem In The World"

More insanity from academia. When the hell is this ever going to stop!

A tenured Columbia University professor of Iranian studies is under fire for a controversial tweetstorm following President Trump’s announcement the United States pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal.

There has been a surge of anti Semitism on the left.

Not every anti Zionist is an anti Semite, but every anti Semite is an anti Zionist. Anti Zionism is a cover for anti Semitism far too much of the time.

We should remember that the Arabs are Semites, too. So those who oppose the Arabs are also liable to the anti-Semite taint.

That is true, to the extent that they both speak a Semitic language. It is also true that a bigot is a bigot regardless of the target of the bigot's bigotry. Anti Semite has been a European colloquialism for anti Jewish for a few hundred years now because they were the only Semites in any numbers in Europe. So in modern usage, language being far from precise I will have to disagree that Anti Semite and anti Arab are connected in the minds of modern people in the west.

Do you remember what Anwar Sadat said to Mary Tilotson when she accused him of being an anti-Semite?

The Palestinians will agree...it's their fault. They believe that Israel belongs to Ismael and not Isaac.

This "professor" was born in Iran so.....

You will probably see him again as a democrat candidate on the mid term elections.

As a tenured professor, he can make any kind of stupid, bigoted political statement that he wants and there is nothing that the university can do. The original purpose of giving professors tenure was to allow them to question commonly held beliefs without being fired for doing so. Unfortunately he seems to be abusing his tenure by inciting hatred. Now if he made an anti-feminist remark, the university might find a way of getting rid of him in spite of his tenure.
