MSM's message to any future prospective school shooter

Let's see, what happens when someone shoots up a school.

    (1) MSM never says anything negative personally about the shooter, nor do they blame the shooter.

    (2) MSM blames law abiding citizens.

What's MSM's message to society and any future prospective shooters?

"If you shoot up schools, you'll get your 15 minutes of fame AND we will protect you AND we'll blame someone else."

Get it! (wink, nod). Now get to work.

So, it looks like the shooter was armed with a shotgun and a .38 revolver. Both have now become "assault," weapons. Notice that the LEO's are looking for a second shooter and bombs scattered all over... none of which is likely to exist... but it gives the LEOS something to do.

I would have thought a kid walking around holding
a shotgun and a pressure cooker would have at least
aroused a little curiosity on somebody's part.

Yes, and the Regressives are pushing for everyone's ding-a-ling to be cut off the prevent more rape.

OK ... lets get to work . I did infact peruse the MS{N] news and they told me all about the the arrest of a 17 year old resposnible for the deaths of 10 and wounding of 10 more.

What they "didn't" tell me was that they held the parents responsible for allowing those firearms to be available to a 17 year old. Was this 17 year old solely responsible... he was to a point. But Dad had something to answer for as well

But why would any of us not trust our children ? Cuts no ice with me, if your guns were available for someone else to use.... you are complicit. Said it here many times.... these are not the days when Dads hunting rifles were displayed in a glass case in the living room .

Reds comment below about 38s and shotguns now being considered assault weapons would be laughable if not for the fact that the ignorance behind it is so absolutely sad ....

Parental responsibility is indeed a slippery slope, in my opinion you do the best you can and hope for the best. I know hat in my own case it took me a long time to grow up. But I never had the urge to shoot anyone. Perhaps the study of our DNA may provide clues about an individual's inclinations. I know that they use it to forewarn about hereditary medical issues.

We keep asking ourselves why this sort of stuff keeps happening over and over again. Blaming guns is not the answer, look at that mass killing in Australia a week or so ago. The liberals love to sing the praises of strict gun control, it doesn't work. A few weeks ago some madman in Toronto killed a bunch of people with a rental van.

Something is wrong with the person, not the object. Until we can figure out what is wrong or how to predict these inclinations the hamster wheel will keep on turning.

Only a pure pacifist will not harm others. The human mind is more complex then any machine yet invented. There is a fine line between genus and insanity...a very fine line. Push a person up to the end of a cliff, some will attempt to withdraw others will look and fall not trying to help oneself. There are only symptoms that can be watched for, when observed what then? Schools must do a better job of children bullying others and "odd" children will need observing as well. Question is society willing to pay for any intervention and the laws will need to be rewritten to keep the lawyers at bay.

The key word here is "17 year old."

A 17 year old terrorist is not a child. A 17 year old MS-13 gang member that chops a little girl to death with a machete is not a child. A 17 year old that takes a weapon to school and murders people is not a kid. At what time does a parent cease to have control of what their kids do when they are not around? Right now nobody knows where the guns came from... How do you know they belonged to his parents or that his parents eve knew he had them?

My very wise grandmother used to say, "When they are little they break your things, when they grow up they break your heart."

Today a very high percentage of 17 year olds have drivers licenses, access to a car, and come and go pretty much as they please. Even a perfect set of parents can't control the actions of a mentally ill teen. They can be cunning, devious, and cruel. To opine that this is a failure on the part of the parents alone is asinine.

Oh come on, Red, you know that gun made that little kid take it to school and do that with the parents permission. It's not his fault all those conditions made him do that. What are you thinking, that maybe he was just mean, that he planned all this to get back at other kids 'cause he had no backbone to let all his online bullying just slide off? You know we have to find someone or something to blame for this. He CAN'T be responsible, he's not an "adult" you know, he has less than a year and then he would be an "irresponsible adult".
