Violent crime is CULTURAL. Here in the United States, it is concentrated among certain groups -- subtract out those groups and violent crime would be dramatically cut. London now has such groups -- and all the liberal ideology in the world won't cure it.

Lets not kid ourselves ..... during the same time period NY City ... comparible in size to London ... enjoyed its lowest murder rate since 1959 .

That sounds pretty good, and it is . But it still came in about 140+ bodies higher than London .

And I'm betting someone over there is saying something along those same lines about us.......

Vern is correct in that it is socio-economic in nature. People from urban areas are quite different in their outlook on life then others, London is no exception. Static's are deceiving, an actual count is more comparable as Pebbles pointed out.

What a crock!!! Vern is spot on. The murder rates are the same in NYC and in London... SO WHAT! They are completely different in just about every other imaginable way except the murder rate per 100K population which happens to be very low at about 3.4 murders per 100k in both places. The Murder rate in Chicago is 10.21. Mexico City (which happens to have about the same populationas London or NYC), has a murder rate of 18.7/100k. while Sanpecker's peaceful country of Columbia has a murder rate of 27/100k... 8 times that of either NYC or London.

"Lets not kid ourselves," different places, with different societies, different histories, different ethnicities, different economical situations and differing educational levels are going to have different statistics. London/NYC equal murder rates are a happenstance and don't mean diddly squat.

That's exactly what it is; or more accurately sub-cultural. The sub-culture of teen-age male misfits & loosers, who IDOLIZE previous school-shooters, & deliberately seek to emulate them. Harris & Klebold are to this subculture HEROES & martyrs who "led the way."

Those are xxxxhole countries. Columbia might be peaceful but it's a xxxxhole country so to speak. As the trapper said in Lonesome Dove; "lifes cheap up here on the Canadian". So now teenage kids in the US are like ragheads. Not a good trend. It's just being lazy. Not saying they should take more lives; No,they should have bigger dreams and asparitions(can't think of another way to spell asparitions).
