Why has there not been the usual outrage over the last school shooting?? I think I know, but I await the opinions of my brethren.

imo, simply because they couldnt pin it on an evil "assault" weapon with a detachable "magazine clip". if the liberal media cant sensationalize it, they dont bother with it.

General numbness to the issue for one thing, and people in Texas don't feel much like talking about it. So there is less fuel to sustain a story. The fact that it wasn't an AR doesn't really matter that much to the anti gunners.

Funny you say this .... because on 01/26/2018 ... I started a similar thread with the question of why no mention at all here on Culvers of the school shooting two days prior .....

Should we have asked the same question then ? ..... did we not mention it here on Culvers for two days because of the fire arm used ???

Plenty of TV coverage--still talking about it today. However, no huge mobs of screaming, sign-waving, self-righteous, professionally-organized, brats as at Parkland, so not the same opportunities for the media to sensationalize the event.

Outrage never changes what has already occurred. As stated above no AR or AK was used so it's just an unfortunate incident for those who got injured or died. If this same school attack had been done with knives or rocks it probably would have never made the news. I taking about the fake news media outrage. As far as student outrage they aren't being paid by liberal organizations to protest. Dead is dead and a school has been attacked so why aren't these students speaking out just like those in Parkland, FL? Has to be money and encouragement by the media to do so.

Among other things, some mentioned above, there is an election coming up. The Democrats have hopes of taking the House, but their lead in the Generic ballot has shrunk a whole bunch. There is nothing more important in a midterm election than turn out. Nothing gets conservatives and a lot of moderates who lean republican, out to vote more than a fight over gun control. They really do remember 1994.

Also, after reading some of the coverage, the people interviewed had the good sense to blame the "person" and not the "thing" for what happened. When that takes place there is only the "everybody has to win" type mentality that is to blame. When it comes to being responsible for your actions, no one wants to touch it with the PC crowd today.
