Once Congress or the Inspector General finally gets to the bottom of the pit... Folks are going to jail. This is the biggest scandal ever in U.S. history. A sitting U.S. President colludes with the FBI, the DOJ and the intelligence community to assure their party's candidate wins. They lied, cheated, and did, absolutely anything they could to rig the election.

First of all how does Cohen accepting $400,000 from the Ukrainians years before Trump hired him have anything to do with colluding with the Russians. Ukrainians hate the Russians. And what does that have to do with Trump colluding with Russians?

Trump hiring Cohens is no worse than AT&T and dozens of other corporations and countries that hired him. I hired a guy to mow my lawn. His ex-girlfriend's second cousin robbed a CC store in California. That was my fault... right?

Some "Ukranians" are Russians stuck on the wrong side of a post-Soviet border. Manafort made a lot of money selling services to people connected on that side.

As for your analogy, if it turns out on further investigation that your lawn mower and the ex-girlfriend-second cousin are part of the same motorcycle gang, an informal affiliation, some of whose members commit various illegal acts, and that you have other associations with them besides just the guy who cuts your grass, some of which you want very much to keep secret, then your mower and the cousin can reasonably be seen as the tip of the iceberg.

But the reaction of Novartis to the Cohen disclosure strongly indicates that it was a simple pay-for-play move that didn't sit well with the board. So if you're going to allege that the Clinton Foundation is a pay-for-play scheme and demand transparency there, you should be doing the same for all of the Trump-Cohen contacts. And let's not forget that shabby vehicle, Trump's own charitable foundation, which was used as Donald's personal piggy bank, not unlike what Roy Moore did.

I give you credit Red for trying to do the impossible, to argue that Trump is some kind of slandered Choir Boy, but surely he is not. This much is already clearly in the record. Which gets me wondering: why do you love him so much anyways? Is it a style thing or is there some policy aspect that really really works for you? Serious question, believe it or not.
