    McCain said what?

In the upcoming HBO tribute to the hero, John McCain is heard opining that Sara Palin was a terrible choice for his running mate and that he had wanted to pick Joe Lieberman but his advisors talked him out of it and that mistake cost him the election.

That is interesting. I suppose the then Democrat Lieberman would have really bought out the Republican base and attracted new Republican voters by the thousands.

I think Palin would have made a great VP. It was McCain that no one wanted.

Palin was a good choice. McCain was a bad candidate. Palin brought out younger voters. She was the Governor of Alaska which is more then many of us will be so at least in Alaska enough people believed in her to vote her in.

I think you're right. The joke was, "You have a choice between the Black Democrat, the Female Democrat and the Republican Democrat." McCain is not a man to mobilize the Republican rank and file.

There was the "heartbeat away" thing, and I remember if others don't that in '08 there was genuine concern that the financial system might collapse due to liquidity shortfalls while a lot of bad paper unwound. Palin not a great choice for those times.

Sarah Palin publicly apologized to Julian Assange...... because of that I think she's a traitor to the United States and the American people ...

as is anyone who backs Assange

So McCain is correct.... he should never have picked her as a running mate..... in fact he lost my vote due to her being his running mate .

And, don't forget, McCain was NOT a hero! He went against orders on his last flight and was captured! There were many other pilots who were captured too. But, because of his credentials he was called a "hero". He was always brain dead!

So let's see if I have this figured out. The technique is to hang a position straight out of left field on someone then proceed to use it to discredit everything they say. Gonna give it a shot now....

John McCain did not have the high school grades to enroll at Annapolis. His Dad and Grandfather were Admirals, so he was enrolled. John did not have the grades to qualify for Naval flight training upon graduation from Annapolis. The two Admirals got him to Pensacola. Again, he did not do well enough in flight training to qualify for a fighter assignment, but his family connections got him the fighter assignment. When he was assigned to the Squadron aboard the carrier, he was a junior officer who acted like he owned the ship and the squadron. Why, because his name was McCain, and everyone knew who his Dad was. When he was elected to the Senate, he had gone as far as he could on his family's name. He has dishonored his own name by pretending to be a Conservative, while doing everything he could to enable the dems, and hinder "his" party. Hasta la vista, John.
