The Bessie Loves, Gloria Swansons, Spencer Tracy types
must be groaning in their graves watching the industry
they once gloried in reach such debauched depths with
the likes of De Niro spouting F words at our President.
There are no more great actors like Carol Lombard or
Carey Grant. They're been replaced by second raters,
and the great movies Cecil B DeMille and his rivals
used to produce have been replaced with garbage like
Wonder Woman. Is it any wonder when the place is
infested with the likes of De Niro, Maher and Streep.
I have a book "The Best Remaining Seats" which is
a testament to the great movie theaters built in the
heyday of Hollywood. Magnificent structures - all gone
now except a handful. The last page showed Gloria
Swanson arms akimbo standing in the rubble of what
once had been the New York Roxy Theater.

My wife and I used to see at least one movie a week after I retired. Since Trump got elected and the "gods" of Hollywood started showing their real feelings and making a$$es of themselves we haven't gone back to the theaters. We also cancelled HBO, Starz, Showtime and Cinemax due to all the liberalism.

In recent years heavy message feel good liberal movies have not done that well at the box office. Disney makes "family" movies while trying to cater to the LGBTQ crowd-they've had a succession of bombs. And look at the flop Air America was on radio.
A hint to Hollywood-you mock our values, deride us a "deplorable bitter-clingers"-we can take our dollars elsewhere.

But Ann was also a fine songstress & comedienne--an all-around show-biz great. Don't think she ever received the credit she deserved. Beautiful as she was, I'd not be surprised to find out Cyd was rather frigid.
