I don't know -- did he stop at Mickey D's in Singapore?
When I was in Singapore, they almost slavishly imitated the US in consumer businesses -- they had McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and so on, and a home-grown version of Kentucky Fried Chicken whose motto was "It's chicken lickin' good." My youngest daughter's comment was, "That's disgusting -- and illegal in 47 states!"
