America is a large food producer due to economy of scale compared to the rest of the world. I would suggest if America withheld giving food away to the world, increasing our price on what we do sell what would the rest of the world do? Food to a hungry population is a motivator to have people "agree" with our nation.

Never thought of that, tks for the info RKT! When one becomes dependent on another, there is always a worry hanging around. One of the main reasons for our remodeling is to be less dependent on others for some of our needed resources.

It is my belief that among other things a country must have the ability to produce enough food to feed it's population in order to be sovereign. Mind you trade allows for a better variety and hence a better standard of living.

Very few countries actually qualify.

When our hydroponic system starts we won't have to purchase any vegetables or tubers. I have to be very careful of what I eat due to how they might have been grown.
