Only one I can remember is Robt. Bork, though Clarence Thomas almost got one.

The odds on either one staying long is not good, 5-4 is a start, a good start. 6 or 7 would be much better. Right now turning the ship of state the U.S.S. America from the leftist course is a beginning. Hopefully those who said they would leave our Republic will! Yesterday two good conservative rulings and more to come. I expect DACA to be ruled unconstitutional, then wait for the wailing at the wall. I full expect physical violence from the left akin to the weather underground of Barry's liking.

Your odds-maker must be smoking dope--wishful thinking carried to the extreme; and like I said, wishful thinking won't kill anybody, unfortunately. Might as well be realistic: the oldest of the leftists, Ginsburg, is reported to be in excellent health despite her age--her passion for outlasting Trump is stronger than death.

Note also that in the recent cell-phone case, Roberts sided with the leftists against the police, which is now going to cause hundreds of convictions of undoubted criminals to be overturned because the cops used cell-phone info to convict them.

Have to politely disagree on your two observations. A person can be in excellent health for a person their age and things can happen. Wishing no one ill harm, advanced age is a handicap will just have to wait and see. Regarding the cell phone, I saw this coming. To tap a phone requires a warrant, why should tracking the phone be any different? Roberts didn't side against the police only with the Constitution, 4th Amendment I believe should cover it. Regardless of what a criminal does to convict must be Constitutional unless of course you prescribe to Democracy and I hope that you don't.

They'll keep Ginsburg going even if it's on a ventilator. Otherwise, the SC will turn conservative and the left will be lost in a political wilderness. They won't let that happen. They do whatever must be done to prevent Trump from having another SC appointment.

Roberts made a hard but right decision. There will always be those who want to exercise power beyond Constitutional warrant. The 4th Amendment reflects that reality as it protects citizens from uwarranted search, etc. If there is reasonable cause, the a warrant be sought from a judge. Otherwise, ... no. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

Because tracking isn't tapping--cops were NOT listening to any conversations. Cells are INDESPENSIBLE tools to modern criminals, esp. drug dealers who make most of their buying & selling arrangements over "they" cells--to ignore this fact of modern life is to put your head in the sand. Would be bad enough if it only applied to future investigations, but think of the legal chaos produced by applying it retroactively.

I agree with you on this, there is wider ramifications to this as our society evolves. The Founding Fathers had no idea of what a modern society faces, this is the reason for the safeguards built into our Constitution. The Constitution tells America government what it cannot do, problem is legal "experts" will read it from their political perspective. What "is" is kind of thinking and this is the Constitutions job to spell out "is."

Was watching Chris Mathews, boy he was really ticked off. Also looks like the blue wave is going nowhere, red is coming up strong.

What a difference 18 hours make, this AM got up wondering what the Supremes are doing now going to bed with the Republic squarely on the right track. Progressive snowflakes melting down, msm going berserk it just keeps getting better and better. I am hopeful that another progressive on the court will see the writing on the wall and move on as their vote is now meaningless. Democratic unions also dealt a blow which will reduce further the coffers of these "unions" and the money that is funneled to the NSDWP further weakening the party. Old guard party members being replaced with new progressives that are pushing the party more to the left, Pelosi and Maxine doing a great job showing the real face of the party. Conservatives continue to bringing back prosperity to America and a new national awareness of USA USA USA USA USA! The President is doing much much more then I had thought possible. If I was an illegal I would be very worried now and if a progressive very afraid of what is to come. Remember, the President said that Americans would get tired of winning and that is starting to come true with one exception. WHAT CONSERVATIVE IS TIRED OF WINNING, I am tired of the left's whining.

What were you saying now? This is really galling for snowflakes to have to accept, "our" three just keep on going down the River Denial with that sad look on their face begging Nancy to make the pain of reality go away! It is fun to watch "our" three keep on trying to make believe with their "silly" comments.

Sam, you once again lack basic comprehension. The country may have gained, but Trump is not the country.

That's OK...you'll see the folly of your sycophantish ways...just like in Berlin of 1945.
