    "The Lifeboat Hypothesis"

I know that analogues don't prove anything, but they can make it easier to understand something.

I first read about The Lifeboat Hypothesis many years ago, but I think it is even more relevant today. So here goes.

A lifeboat is designed to help people survive after a ship has sunk. The lifeboat is purpose built to hold only a certain number of survivors. If too many crowd on the boat will be swamped and everyone will drown.

In a very real sense, America is a lifeboat. The passengers consist of that fraction of our population who do not support themselves for one reason or another. For example, we are now into the third generation of families where no one has ever worked or been married. They have never had any real responsibilities and just continue to produce offspring like themselves. There are others who cannot work because of mental or physical handicaps, etc. At any rate the American lifeboat can only support so many of these people. If the liberals continue to flood our country with illegals who do not speak our language, have no interest in our laws and heritage, they will become a disproportionate percentage of our population. When this happens the lifeboat will sink.

Our country was certainly headed in this direction until Trump became President. He needs the support of all of us if America is to survive as we have all known it.

We have citizens that feed off the system.

Start there, not an imaginary enemy.

      They aren't imaginary.
I dream of a better world. One where chickens may cross the road without their motives being questioned.

Cut the "free" stuff except for the proven needy. I worked with many of these "needy" and 90% could work, just didn't want to. How did they spend their time, getting into mischief that is how. They weren't mentally ill, just drug/alcohol users that the government paid for this is fact. Random drug test, if they do a crime they lose the benefits. Nothing is free, you will work for it washing windows, cutting grass, doing something except staying up all night and sleeping all day neglecting your kids. If a person is mentally/physically unable to work that is one thing, most of my cases were the opposite. Problem is too many soft headed people feel sorry and "for the children" kicks in, not realizing the kids grow up doing the same thing darn thing. Sandpebbles could find workers if the workers didn't get "free" stuff not to work. Food stamps, housing, medical, transportation, cell phones the list goes on and on. Years ago a local "service" gave away computers and a years internet phone system for the "needy" as well. When I tried to get them to work and get out of the system some counselors were upset as the client would no longer get "help" from them. That is when I spoke up and was "suggested" to go with the system of rehabilitation. Instead of growing assistance, cut the funding for new growth and REQUIRE some type of meaningful work for any recipient.
