Social security was a “New Deal” handout from the socialist administration of king FDR. Working people weren’t in favor of it then and still aren’t. My dad always said that if the government would just let him keep his SS taxes, he could invest it much better by himself.

There are two reasons for that:


1) The money isn't invested at all. This month's Social Security payout is last month's receipts. There is NO "Social Security Trust Fund" -- just a bunch of laser-printed bonds in a facility in West Virginia.

2) If it was YOUR money, you sure as hell wouldn't abuse your own savings by doing things like give Disability Benefits to drug addicts!
