Another fine mess the liberals have got us into ...

    And Ollie would be right.
San Francisco invited these people with the usual liberal
promise of unlimited giveaways, and they came, and they
came and they kept coming until they filled the sidewalks
the parks and wherever they could sit long enough to stick
a needle into their leg before being invited to move along.
Now it seems there are too many to be moved along and
the Police no longer bother them. If the Politicians don't
give a Rat's, then why should the Police ? Good question.
I can feel sympathy for someone who has become
homeless because of some misfortune or more likely a
property tax imposition that an elderly person can no longer
afford, but other than that ...

I wonder if Tony Bennett regrets leaving his heart there.

I know that there are some people who will flame me unmercifully for this but I have come to the conclusion that one viable solution to the opiod mess is to stop worrying about it. I figure that if you simply let the people who want to use fentanyl or carfentanyl, just use it and do not try to give them an antidote, the problem will eventually resolve itself as all the users will be dead. Given that the use of such drugs is a voluntary act and that the users are adults who know the risk, they should be prepared to suffer the consequences. It is not society's fault if they die; it is theirs. I would argue that our limited medical resources should be utilized on people who are ill or injured by accident and not wasted on idiots who want a cheap high.

How cruel can you be??? Think of the children??? They were trying to turn their life around!!! These poor people need our help and compassion [and your tax dollars as well]. Eventually towns will figure out that society can no longer afford this life luxury and back out of doing it.

I noticed on our trip to SF last year what a xxxx hole it was, but Vancouver is no better. I think that around here when they closed the nut houses things started to go really bad.

One of the ironies is that Liberals always scream we must spend more on education, yet drug use is probably the No. 1 learning disability.
Of course if you can get your self classified as "disabled" you're pretty much guaranteed government benefits for life and you really don't need an education.

We had counselors who went out of their way to get people on some form of disability...so that the counselor could get paid! 95% of the people who came to the clinic were drug dependent looking for benefits or other freebies.

If you PAY people to be addicts, you shouldn't be surprised if you get more and more addicts.
