Apparently a female states that at one time she was "felt" by him. With all the problems on his plate now apparently another one. I feel sorry for the guy if he is innocent and I presume that he is until proven guilty.

Cannot see any reason to doubt what the woman says. At present, the woman has simply stated that it happened and that she considers the matter closed. He is a public figure. If he has demonstrated a record of such behavior, other incidents will surface. Then he will get to offer explanations, etc. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

I haven't read the story, but what constitutes being "felt"? The definition changes with a persons change in attitude.

I ran Div. III track for a few years. To get from our lockers to the showers, we had to go past a training room and down a hall that could see general foot traffic, usually wearing nothing but a towel. Sometimes the women's gymnastics team members were in the training room as we went past the open door. To my knowledge, they never complained about the setup, and neither did we. If there had been some dude gawkers showing up and yanking off, I think we would have sent them on their way before things got very far. So the story above seems plausible and yet you have to wonder WTF admin was thinking--a common situation in universities, LOL.

I don't think she came out to make the charges. The version I read says it was a "reporter" looking for dirt on him. He hunted her down and questioned her. She acknowledged she made the statement 18 years ago but chose not to pursue it after he apologized. She still doesn't want to pursue it. It happened and it's over. All she did was tell the truth when asked. It shouldn't even be in the news but the press loves dirty laundry no matter how old it is. There is always somebody out there to destroy as far as they're concerned.

I was at the range yesterday and a number of us were discussing this "incident". The conclusion was that 90% of the male population would be guilty of similar accusations. It is just part of the mating game and until the last few months was just treated as an unwelcome (or if you were lucky, a welcome) incident that was handled with a few clear words.
