Low turnout for pro gun rallies ...

That's because gun owners have better things to do
than prance around waving banners. They were probably
working, mowing their lawns, washing their cars or at least
    doing something constructive.
It's the ant-gunners who excel at parading around, shouting
obscenities, damaging private property and generally making
a nuisance of themselves including the need to clean up the
piles of garbage they always leave in their wake.

Someone with Bloomberg's billions was needed to provide the paid organizers & well-oiled publicity machine that whipped up the anti-gun crowds. But even that would not have compensated for the gun-hating media's enthusiasm for promoting ANY anti-gun event.

Why go to a rally and parade around for something we already have? It would be like going to a rally for "the right to breath air".

Rallies are primarily to protest something that isn't going your way, something you want to change.

          Chicago:

The group gathered in a corner of Millennium Park, not the great lawn, because organizers did not secure a permit and park security forced them to leave.
Not the brightest organizers in the world unless they had thoughts of avoiding confrontations.
Having said that, the larger "anti-gun demonstration" had many more. I doubt they had permission to block all the lanes and shut down Interstate 90/94.
Who got the media attention? The Bloomberg Buffoons of course.
