"Migrants" waiting in North Africa to get into Europe, Italy has said no dice and other countries as well. Wonder how long before they arrive at our border?

It's only fair. Why should Europe have to shoulder all of the burden? I've said before, one day there will be a "class action suit" declaring, people from other parts of the world should have the same rights as central americans to stroll into our country. I'm not sure how it will work but there are millions enough to figure it out.If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep. -

Ones & twos??? There are EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND Somali so-called "refugees" in Minnesota ALONE!!! Think about THAT! Minn. is the only state for which stats are readily available--certain to be more in other parts of the country. No where else in the huge continent of Africa, among their blood brothers, for them to go? They had to come here? WHY?Comment

Why do some people win the lottery and others don't? Why do some kids get cancer while some old people spew hate and bile their entire lives and seem practically indestructible? Life is a mystery. Are there any circumstances CH under which you would welcome black refugees from Africa? White refugees from Africa?Comment

There is a BIG difference between black refugees and white refugees from Africa! Altho I've never heard of white refugees I'm certain they would be productive in our society instead of getting free everything.Comment

The Somali "refugees" are something else. There is a large population in Columbus, Ohio that are often used as "enforcers" by some of the local drug dealers. 10 years ago some "teenage" ones came down to "enforce" payment on a drug deal. One guy [client of mine] was killed, now 6 are in state prison with a release date in the 2050's. Had a good lawyer who played the race card, the "refugee" card and "turning their life around" card. Their age is the only thing that kept them from getting the death penalty.

Facile evasion of the essential question, why HERE? Not ONE nation among their black brothers was willing to provide for them, even with US financial assistance? And since they are Muslims, what about Muslim nations taking them in?
Indisputably, whites in S. Africa & Rhodesia are being robbed, beaten, burned-out, & killed for no reason but the color of their skin, so why wouldn't they qualify as legit refugees? THEY, unlike the blacks who came here, have absolutely no place else to go.Comment

Why here? Because the US, like most other developed nations in the west, had a policy for accepting refugees from disaster-striken places. Why Somalis to Minnesota? Because some earnest Lutherans thought it would be a good idea, LOL. Is it? Depends on who you ask. They do an adequate job staffing the Twin Cities airport. Occasionally you run into some cultural stuff, with first-generation people not yet assimilated. But contrary to what you might want to assume, they didn't grow up on handouts from the Somali welfare state (a nonexistent thing). They expect to work and they do.
Then there are Nigerians. The ones who end up here as immigrants tend to be heavy on education. They stress it there. At what point can a guy stop being a Nigerian doctor and be allowed to just be a doctor? Or someone else no longer a Somali airport shuttle driver and just a shuttle driver? I don't complain about the legals that assimilate, It's the one that don't and are a leech on the American taxpayer forever! If there were no illegals sucking off the system, SS would be solvent! My wife works in the local hospital. TB is on the rise because of illegals.Comment

So why don't they stay in Nigeria & work to improve conditions there, instead of behaving like rats deserting a sinking ship? One of the main reasons the Turd World never gets any better, despite receiving millions in foreign aide, is because those with skill & abilities desert their own countries.Comment

Probably because they can make more money here, and there is some demand here for their skills. If they were Russsian, would that make it better for you? You do know that Nigerians learn English from the get-go, don't you? They don't come here speaking Spanish. If culture is your thing, Nigeria probably has more in common with the west (thanks to the British) than do the Russians. Same for the people from India.
The question "why don't they stay home and make things better?" could be posed to any talented newcomer from any land. Among the reasons why they don't stay home include lack of access to opportunities and/or capital in their home land. They want to do better with the life that God gave them. Don't many of us feel that way? Simply put, not everyone wants to do what someone else thinks is in the best interest of the group for them to do. (Donald Trump not running for president, for example.) Another example: Allen. He should move to Cuba and start teaching basic private enterprise skills to the locals. This would be a win-win for both countries. But Allen won't do it. Anyways, it's not hard to notice that the question only gets asked of some people and not others. I DID answer it! By pointing out the indisputable fact that whites in Africa are being widely persecuted by their black "neighbors." After generations spent lifting several African regions out of savagery, they now have no place in Europe, no true "home country," they can return to. THEY should be welcomed as TRUE refugees, as opposed to blacks coming--as you just pointed out--for economic gain.Comment
