    Brexit Economics

Krugman is a liberal, but a real economist nonetheless. This is a decent backgrounder on Brexit economics.

    https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/07/1...s-gravity.html

A Scot buddy of mine expects the government will crash out with no deal. After that he expects that the SNP will press for Indy2. I ask him if the EU would want a land border at the English/Scottish frontier. He says that unlike Ulster, the Scots actually want a firmed up border. If they better understood Krugman's argument they might change their mind.

So who here in America cares as we have enough trouble with our own border and invasion.

Apparently you don't, but Trump does. He puts his fingerprints on it whenever he gets a chance. Now why does Trump care about Brexit? You go to the meetings, so you tell me.

It's a short paragraph but I have a short attention span. All I know is, the Brit's said, screw the EU and I applaud it. Maybe it's light exit, fine, at least they've made a point. Maybe they will work a deal on trade(well, who doesn't?), but they have taken a stand on who they are. Aww,but nothings like it used to be.
