Let's see if we can figure this out? Trump and Putin have a discussion for over an hour. Plenty to be settled and we know that. They both come out to speak to an anxious press. Trump is asked whether or not he believes Putin while the man is standing three feet away from him. (Talk about putting someone on the spot!)
How is anyone supposed to answer that loaded question within the interests of diplomacy?

"No! I don't believe or trust him the same as any other Russian bastard!" Yeah. That's goes a long way down the road to peace and trade

JB, who put Trump in the room with Putin? He could have simply refused to speak to the man outside of normal diplomatic channels. That's the whole point, Trump is giving Putin the upper hand by engaging in this way.

It's a gotcha question in the moment.

Trump bashing is of course the day in & day out mainstay of the national news media, but this latest outburst actually began on all 3 networks & CNN immediately after the meeting yesterday, & continued with even greater vehemence on the evening news programs. On NBC, Lester Holt, whom I've always thought was one of the most mild-mannered anchors, delivered a bitter diatribe at the end of the program that caused even my jaw to drop. It was on the same theme now being repeated by all Trump-bashers, that he has thrown our all (so-called) "friends" to the wolves, & glorified the arch-demon Putin. However, Lester's obvious fury & contempt (he was literally shaking as he spoke) absolutely took my breath away. It could stand as Exhibit A to prove the truth that the media is the "Opposition Party."

Trump is condemned by his own actions at this point, specifically the glaring inconsistency in his approach to Russia as compared to all other countries. It infuriates Lester that our POTUS is owned by a foreign government, which is by far the best explanation for what is happening. Trump's own staff was left agog by Helsinki, which tells you the level at which these decisions are made.

Also, said the 12 came to the US with more than a million $ and GAVE IT TO HIL'S CAMPAIGN! And he requested for his people to sit in on our investigation/ interrogation. (He supposed we would investigate the 'donation'). Why aren't the "unfair and unbalanced" reporting and investigating that?

I'll give Trump the benefit of the doubt. Still waiting for Muller to to bring forth the evidence. I believe Trump is skeptical enough and he knows Putin`s background in the KGB-GRU.

We all knew Trump was a loose cannon before we voted for him. Some here backed him from the get-go. Others such as myself jumped onboard after the primaries. Most times I have to hold my nose to vote locally, but I didn't when I cast my vote for the, "Anybody, anything but Hillary candidate."

Personally I fully expected Trump to upset the status quo and tip an apple cart or two. That has always been Donald Trump. I can understand the criticisms regarding his behavior as a businessman instead of the POTUS. The only surprise is he does nothing to keep himself in check. I'm no expert in the art of negotiation but I can be pretty good at it down here on my own level.
I'd rather see what rabbit he pulls out of his hat than follow the demonizing crowd. Heck, the ONLY way a Dem can get elected these days is by selling lies and pointing "Witch!" at the opposition. I'll be damned because it looks like their strategy is working better now than in the past.
We have a totally segregated country politically and our best hope for today can't seem to keep his yap zipped when he should. But....

...it saddens me to see how many Americans cannot spot a totally pre-planned setup when it's right there in their face. We now have more lemmings in this country than Bill Clinton and Bro-O could breed.

So Russia says they gave $1M to Hillary? The details on that should be interesting to tease out. Or...it's just BS intended to give the faithful here something to grab onto. What "all other countries"? He's well liked in Poland, Hungary, India, Japan, S. Korea, Philippines, etc. It's only in the hard left wing countries, chiefly Germany, England, France, that he's demonized because he won't subscribe to their policy of filling Europe with the scum of the Turd World.

Actually, CH, I had China in mind, where Trump has had praise for Xi, but has also not shied away from taking strong actions to gain leverage. Only with Russia, with Putin, does Trump eschew leverage. Why? When has Trump ever turned away leverage, in this case what Rosenstein sent him this past week (read the indictments for yourself, they are carefully constructed so that they could be used this way). The only rational reason for Trump refusing leverage is a conclusion that however much it is, that it won't be enough, that he better play along because they have him. Nothing else comes close to explaining the situation.

I fought the Cold War as a Combat Crew Member in SAC and I'm very anti communist. Every 4th day of my life for 42 months I looked at my status board of 10 Minuteman Missiles with 30 Mk12a Nuclear bombs and wondered if I would have to turn keys and launch them against targets in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. We as a Nation should have close relations with Russia. We have more in common with the Russians then we do with the CHICOMS. This Trump collusion is a distraction. Obama knew about the Russian interference and as far as we know did nothing. We have interfered in numerous elections of foreign countries its what world powers do. Who can forget our supporting dictators around the world. Does anyone remember US troops on the ground in Russia during their revolution? I'd say that was major interference..

I thought the President statements yesterday were a bit odd as he was taking the US gov't, the press and Intel communities to task for the situation that was created but, in many cases he is correct at least in this voters opinion.

Khrushchev's handling of his rise to power has similar soundings, which I find unusual. Comparing this President to previous ones is apples to oranges. I am just sitting back and watching the show.
