    I said it wouldn't go anywhere ...

    and it didn't. It didn't take a genius (not that I'm not one)
    to figure that people would worry about everything to do
    with the State - pensions, drivers license, property taxes.
    The prospect of whole new bureaucracies alone would have
    put the kibosh on the idea, but as it happened, it never even
    got to the people. The Court shot it down.

    Shame. Once they split up, they can be considered out of the Union, and the rest of us don't have to let them back in.
