No more free lunches in San Francisco ...

From the once wonderful city whose sidewalks are now covered
in feces, needles and smelly bodies, comes a couple of new laws
that you might think came from the minds of adolescents:
    1. Restaurant worker who hands customer a plasatic straw could
face a six year prison sentence and or fine. Unlikely but it's the law.
    2. New buildings cannot contain a Cafeteria. (existing ones ?)
This one stems from restaurant and cafe owners complaints that
their business is suffering because technology giants in the area
offer free meals for their employees from their own in building
cafeterias. This effects many thousands of diners so you can maybe
sympathise with the business owners plight, yet it's hard to imagine
all those thousands suddenly being turned loose at noontime to find
and pay for their own lunches.. It's doubtful the town could cope.
And. seeing as how these same tech giants also provide free bus service
for their employees, how long will it be before that too will be the subject
before the supervisory remedial board ?

Help me out. What have the restaurant and cafe owners done for me that I should be penalized for their profit?

Can you believe that the dems are against a free lunch AND a free ride?

Only when private businesses pick up the tab -- if Government was doing it, they'd be all for it.
