My wife is graduate of West Chester University in Pa. In this month's issue of their magazine the following article appeared.
"The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to Assistant Professor of Health Chiwonesco Tinago and her research colleagues. The purpose: to develop and test a community based peer support intervention that lessens the stigma of adolescent motherhood in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The intervention is specifically designed to develop coping, parenting, and communication skills. It builds on previous research conducted by the team with adolescent girls and young women in Zimbabwe."
My comment: It would do a great deal more to improve their lives and cost less if they were taught something about birth control.
