Gone are the good old days when superheroes saved the planet from villains and perverts. Little more than immoral infiltrators now.

The good old days when kids matured and outgrew comic books to lead meaningful lives. The good old days when a queer grabbed your ass you could punch him cold without violating his rights of self expression.

The article noted there has been a drop in sales.
And if there was a superhero who went after sex offenders, child molesters, people who spread STDs....?

It's just porn. What kid doesn't think it's hot if two chicks 'do it'?

Didn't need a superhero back then. Society dictated those things be kept in the closet and in most cases those topics were only whispered.

Back then STDs were stigmatized, and those who contracted them learned to keep their mouths shut. Pedophiles and other sex offenders were often dealt with privately-and unpleasantly.

I'm so old I can remember when it wasn't considered heroic to contract an STD, or generous to pass it on to someone else.

Things have changed. It' part of the "lifestyle" to have a STD or be a heroin addict. Was watching PBS. They were in some snow country(Denmark or somewhere). During the tour the needle drop boxes were pointed out. The new needle outlet shown and it was mentioned how it's much more civilized to just deal with, rather than imprison drug users. I'd put them on a barge and sink it.

I deal with them in a civilized manner. If anyone asks me if they should use drugs, I tell them no, and explain why. If they go ahead and do it anyway, I don't see why I should pay the cost of their lifestyle.

You don't see why you should pay for their lifestyle, but you do. Drown 'em.

Better still, drown the people who take our money and squander it like this. In effect, it makes us all enablers.
