    More On Printed Guns

Today I saw a picture in a local paper of a printed AR 15. It was entirely made of plastic. The guy who made it claimed he could fire regular ammo from it. I don't see how that could be possible.

Probably get 3 shots before it cracks, or blows up.

No, I saw one demonstrated that fired many shots, though its durability can't be great. I sure don't want one, but I LOVE the hysteria that's been created among the gun-haters; I mean, Schumer & friends are APOPLECTIC! So go, go, go, you gun-printers!

How can you shoot rounds out of a plastic barrel? I would think that it would melt.

Plastic gas tube, bolt and barrel extension? No, thank you. As far as law is concerned, the gun is the lower receiver. Everything else the crook can legally buy. A plastic lower receiver might actually last. A quirk of the AR pattern with respect to 3D printing and firearms regs.

Printed guns are nothing new. Who here has never read a Ruger?

So, how do the democrats propose to 'fix' this 'problem'? Or are they just screeching?

They look on it as a tremendous opportunity to get rid of that pesky First Amendment. Censorship is a long time goal of theirs.

The First Amendment is still their favorite tool though. It's their favorite hiding place when confronted, They'll need to do some very creative editing which would allow the pigs to run the farm.

Not a problem -- it's "free speech for me, but not for thee."

Reminds me of a dialog I had with a lady:

She: "If you have a gun you should go to jail!"

Me: "If you speak against the Constitution, you should go to jail!"

She: "I have a right to speak my mind!"

Me: "I have a right to have a gun."

                    Somehow the logic escaped her.

Doesn't surprise me in the least. I have told the screamer/tantrum throwers that their rights end at the point where they infringe on mine/ours and they get totally lost.

$100,000 in equipment, software, and materials to create a plastic copy of a firearm that sells for $1,000 tops. ? Better off buying some of "those" books, learn how to make your own copy of a Sten or a Grease Gun.
