With the union of Scotland under Queen Anne's
reign, it became Great Britain.
United Kingdom is merely another name for
Great Britain which is comprised of England,

You're right CH. They don't care because they were occupied as part of the empire. Merely protectorates and/or financial holdings with little interest in the realm of colonization. British history was never part of their own except for the years they served under British boots and muskets. Even India (Which is now about half as large as it once was) was never considered a Commonwealth loyal to the crown. The King was their Emperor by title, but only after the privatized puppet government failed.
