This is a real freak show! What the hell is happening when these crackpots are allowed to engage our children?

So... what are ya trying to say Clinton ? That right wing beliefs was better for them? Right wing indoctrination would have....changed what ?
That the deaths of their fellow students that they witnessed ...as you say .. "Up close and personal " ... is a political opinion ?
As long as you...and the NRA ... ridicule those kids for "whining" about what they saw that very ugly day.... the closer we all come to losing the 2nd amendmentComment

Yes, their reaction proves it is---they were already "budding" radicals before the shooting, & if the shooting had not occurred, they'd merely be directing their rants toward other left-wing objectives--attacking Trump, for ex.Comment

Still no one has answered the question ....
What if they were "indoctrinated right wing ".... like a Fox/Limbaugh fan ? ...do you suppose those kids would have just shrugged those deaths they witnessed off ?
simple questionComment
-
My simple answer is that they would have directed their anger rationally: at the social service workers, teachers, & many others who already knew the killer was a psychopath, but did nothing about it because they didn't dare interfere with his "rights & privacy," & at the gross incompetence & cowardice of the local cops after the shooting started. Furthermore, what they would NOT do is attack & vilify people like NRA members who had absolutely NOTHING to do with the crime!Comment

It's in a left wing city, so what do you expect ? William Bennett said it best:
"When Liberals talk about 'education what they really mean is indoctrination.'"Comment

Sandpebble, CH's usual lack of empathy notwithstanding, there have been mass shootings in the heart of gun country, and for the most part no, the survivors don't suddenly discover a heightened interest in gun regulation. A few might, but a few might go the other way and decide to personally arm up. Most see it as just one of those things that happens sometimes.
So the answer to your question is....yes. They would have mourned and buried the dead, and then get on with their lives as best as they can. Same as they do when their soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen come home in body bags.Comment

Well, that's a pretty good observation Togor... but I'll stand with my statement that to use the internet and news media to ridicule those kids that saw death has, and will do, irreparable harm to the 2nd.Sandpebble, CH's usual lack of empathy notwithstanding, there have been mass shootings in the heart of gun country, and for the most part no, the survivors don't suddenly discover a heightened interest in gun regulation. And if I may ..... they didn't witness those Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmens deaths in their classroom .
I think the big difference with Parkland is that finally the victims stood up and spoke...and we better be listening.Comment

Ridicule? What the hell ARE you talking about??? The national media have GLORIFIED these teenage rabble-rousers, made HEROES out of every one of them, because they are noble crusaders (with Bloomberg's money!) against the Evil Empire, the Gun Lobby!Comment
