A color movie tour of 1924 London ...

A quieter gentler time but pretty busy.
    I love those old buses.
One of my collections - American cast iron toy buses from the 20/30s

Double-decker buses were once common in NYC & other big US cities; MANY silent movies, & some early talkies, include scenes filmed on the top of double-deckers.

And those early solid tire buses were bought from Britain

I came to be in possession of some 8mm Kodachrome reels taken by a gentleman in the 1939-40 period, including shots from the NY World's Fair, a Chicago to Yellowstone/Tetons automobile trip, Soldier Field in Chicago, and some airfield that shows a YP-37. The takes with those old cameras were usually pretty short, but the glimpses are still fascinating. I've thought about getting the Yellowstone reel mastered to DVD so other people can see it.
