8 Guilty pleas by one member of the inner circle, who has in fact implicated Trump in payoffs intended to influence the election. 8 Guilty verdicts by another member, with another trial in the pipeline for September, and the possibility of retrial on the 10 counts for which the jury was hung. I expect I will be told that none of this should taken as a reflection on Trump himself, that the man is completely above reproach in all respects. As I said before, I wouldn't so much as buy a pack of shoelaces from this guy on the reasoning that he couldn't help but cheat me in the bargain.

Trump > Country, the way Vern said it. I might depart from a few of the opinons here and say, USA > Trump...and it always will be.Last edited by Roadkingtrax; 08-21-2018, 05:05."The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. My understanding is the jury was not sequestered and was aware of the media's request for their names and addresses. If I was Manafort's lawyer, I'd scream jury tampering and say he can't get a fair trial, because every potential jury would be afraid of leftist thugs attacking them and their families.Comment

Id say plenty of thugs on both sides.
Now...where have we all heard that before?Last edited by Roadkingtrax; 08-21-2018, 06:56."The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. They who fired it were the greatest practical abolitionists this nation has produced." ~BG D. UllmanComment

I am almost concerned. I might be concerned if the same folks going after Trump and his supporters had shown any of the same concern about going after 30K hillary and her crew. At this point, I am just not concerned. Trump has so far done what needed to be done, put a good strong Conservative on the SC. He has done what needed to be done, put Conservative jurists on the Fed. judiciary. He will shortly do what needs to be done, put another very strong Conservative on the SC. If that is all he accomplishes, he will end up reshaping the future of this nation away from the left-wing liberal dream of a socialist paradise. And that will be something that the left-wing liberals will not be able to undo for generations, regardless of how much they put their thumb on the scale of justice. JMHO. bruce." This is what is hurting "these" people so much, the thought of a conservative judiciary. Judges who will finally weigh the law as Constitutional as opposed to "feelings" or "poll numbers" for a change. The All Criminals Love Us crowd will be in a dither for several decades to come and this is/will cause great consternation on a daily basis for the NSDWP types.I am almost concerned. So Bruce and Sam are putting their faith in the future of the country in hands of unelected judges. And gerrymandering too, I suppose. I remember before the election, DT was grousing about minorities never voting for GOP candidates. I pointed out that the GOP could, conceivably, adopt positions that had broader appeal to minorities. This is sort of what politics are all about, after all. That got me a snort of derision. To put on my Bruce hat for a moment, the future demographics of the country will be what they will be. Religious affiliation, already on the decline, will be what it will be.Comment

Just imagine how much damage to the NSAWP ideation this "unelected" conservative judges can do! Illegals not being able to stay/vote, having to show ID to vote, purge of voter roles [Ohio is already doing that and the NAZI'S are screaming] real law instead of "feelings" the list is endless. Best part is that there is not a darn thing the NAZI'S can do about is as it will be Constitutional Law!!! Concealed carry in ALL AMERICA!So Bruce and Sam are putting their faith in the future of the country in hands of unelected judges. And gerrymandering too, I suppose. What's interesting about the Cohen plea is that throwing Trump under the bus during his elocution was his own idea. The prosecutors weren't asking for that. The guy is a proven greaseball, but he professes to have had a change of heart after seeing the proceedings in Helsinki. Is he being honest now? It comes down to documentation. But it seems that at least some people in Trumpworld made a habit of tape recording each other. Whatever else you want to say about Season 2, the writing has been absolutely top shelf!!
PS: Sam you forgot to say something about it being a republic and not a democracy.Last edited by togor; 08-22-2018, 11:06.Comment

I didn't forget, it is YOU who are now educated to the reality congratulation! One thing I did with the mentally ill, repetition is the case manager skill to alter an inbred negative. Togor, my friend this skill worked in your case and I am pleased that it did. What's interesting about the Cohen plea is that throwing Trump under the bus during his elocution was his own idea. Zero, Zip Nada - (Except for more candy being promised to the 'children')
Nothing to prove broken campaign finance laws. Even if they allude to it, it's still a nothingburger because.........

Liberals have much more to worry about. This SC is looking more and more like an investigation into Russian infiltration of the Dem party, MSM and many businesses during the period of 2014-2016. The 'infiltration' of course, has eveything to do with money.Comment

My recall of your schtick may not be the complement that you take it to be. Your noise about the country being a republic actually comes from a pretty dark place.Comment
