Professorships - now worth diddly squat ...

It used to be that being a Professor meant something.
It signified the person was well educated and had an
expertize in a particular subject and was a teacher of
that subject. Those standards are no more as they are
now awarded for the most arcane and dull subjects
that only arcane and dull people would be interested in.
She wrote "Black Ethnics" need I say more ?
Hence you get people like this whose knowledge of
Political Science would barely fill a thimble.

    What's your excuse?

I got to know many professors during the years that my wife worked at Bryn Mawr College. They were easily the most narrow minded, self centered and petty people I have ever met. Each one was only concerned with his or her "research." Most of the projects weren't worth crap. Of course they were all Democrats of the most extreme sort. My wife was known as "that Republican."

Over the years I had to attend many social events there and the content of the conversations would make most of you gag.
