Donald Trump Jr and his Big Horned Sheep kill ...

I know these permits are extremely expensive, but I also
thought they were really hard to get - maybe by auction.
Probably helps if you're the President's son.

Am I right about the permits ?

Normally, the outfitters put in for the draw, and then assign their permits to the hunters.

In our state it's a once in a lifetime lottery draw for bighorn.

Here we have one tag auctioned off to the highest bidder for each species. 100k usually, money goes to research. Plus the tags which are drawn.

            Well done Red,
It was a simple question but you have to make it a Federal case.

All political bullxxxxe aside, those of us who hunt have an enormous amount of respect for those who hunt sheep. Typically a sheep hunter has to travel great distances in very rough terrain, perform an amazing stalk and an excellent shot, Then pack their kill out over mountain ranges.

So if these gentlemen had the sort of hunt I describe then I tip my hat to them, a job well done. They have every reason to be happy and proud.

Ken and Red both put it into perspective without politics. Last I heard the Yukon wasn't part of the USA.
