When I make my way through the Capitol rotunda I'll be sure to ask McCain if he cares. Sounds like Trump isn't measuring up."The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. They who fired it were the greatest practical abolitionists this nation has produced." ~BG D. Ullman -
Do you forget that Mc Cain wanted to leave the GOP and join the Democratic Party around 2001 ?? This should tell you that even though he has the right to change his mind he remained with the GOP and fought the GOP all til the end! I to voted for him for president, only because the GOP didn't have anyone worth the salt running and I did not want Obama to win.

I wonder where he is going to be buried. Arlington would be a tremendous insult to all who SERVED their country. Of course I can see the landfills rejecting him too. Since he was responsible for so much destruction, taking so many American lives and injuries I suppose Iran would be happy to erect a tomb in his honor.Comment

Me and many others felt and did the same. As stated in a previous thread, it was Palin who sparked the interest, McCain (the poster child for term limits) was just baggage but as bad as McCain was he would have been a thousand times better than what we ended up with.Do you forget that Mc Cain wanted to leave the GOP and join the Democratic Party around 2001 ?? you are aware that Trump himself has been a Democrat on more than one occasion.... aren't you ???Comment

"Could be," but "hundreds of individuals" did not obsess him over the last few yrs--only one. Think his assertion that this country ought to be "tearing down walls, not building them" was aimed at anyone else but Trump?Comment

Not such a great idea. Bernard Von Bulow (1849-1929) was the Chancellor of the German Empire 1900-1909 under Wilhelm II. He laid the flattery thick on Wilhelm-"greatest Hohenzollern ever", etc. In his Memoirs which were published posthumously he slammed Wilhelm and a lot of other people. That prompted Wilhelm to observe that Von Bulow was the first case he knew of a man who died and then committed suicide.Comment
