    Teenagers don't read - or maybe can't read ...

So what's the point of an author writing a book that
would appeal to a young reader, if that young reader
    either can't or doesn't read ?

Actually, there are literally millions of books that only
a handful of people have ever read. There are books
on the library shelf that have been there for years,
yet have never been taken out to be read. Library
shelves are packed with biographies of people that no
one has ever heard of. Nonentities write autobiographies.

Around the 1960's American kids were the most intelligent and competitive in the world. Now they are among the dumbest. Standards were substantially lowered so that certain ethnic groups would be able to pass. It is still impossible to discuss this issue without being called a racist.

Go to GOOGLe and enter Mainstream Science On Intelligence. See what the authorities on this topic really think. The article isn't long and is very interesting.

Also done in the workplace commonly known as "diversity". Worker loyalty and output has diminished due to workers knowing that their employer is only interested in quota's instead of the worth of the individual. This same diversity is what is destroying the school system not only with falling aptitude levels but with increased violence that was unheard of before.

Back in the early 60's George Wallace (democrat governor of Alabama) stood in the doorway of the University of Alabama to stop the enrollment of certain ethnic groups that were being placed there by the federal government. He was quickly labeled a racist by the real racist. His message was that the federal government should not control everything the state chooses to do. He was overruled and the National Guard was sent in to allow attendance. The rest is history.

Actually, Wallace called out the National Guard to PREVENT black entry to school.
National Guard was then Federalized and ENSURED black entry.
