When I was a kid in London during the war, there was
a slogan showing a dripping tap with the words
"Waste not, want not" below. I've never forgotten that,
and I've always had a respect for water. I never waste
it. When I run the kitchen tap for hot water, I save the
cold prior to it becoming hot. Use it to fill the kettle.
It's a habit, one of many I have like going to bed at night
and getting up in the morning.
