I am beside myself with excitement to realize that I am now 88. Since I am still a notorious party animal I will probably celebrate by taking a nap.
I remain fairly active and neither my wife nor I have any serious health issues. I have been happily married to this beautiful girl for 63 years. She has been happily married to me for maybe 2 months.
On a serious note I am not afraid of dying and actually don't think about it very much. Most of my thoughts are centered on all of the crazy, left-wing crap that is going on in our country. i see pictures of mobs of college kids, both black and white, tearing down statues, burning our flag, carrying banners and chanting about "black lives matter," and other junk of a similar nature.
I have also lost interest in reading books. Even light reading like thrillers will now put me to sleep. Reluctantly, I joined Facebook. Rarely do I post anything but it does help me to keep up with what is going on with my extended family, none of whom live nearby.
I do spend a considerable amount of time on line reading conservative political material. My own political position is to the right of Attila the Hun.
This site is my absolute favorite. I signed up here shortly after Major Culver first started it. Over the many years I have read posts by all sorts of people. The trolls do not bother me at all since they are on my Ignore List.
Lastly, I would like to make a couple of recommendations. For those readers who are not old goats, you should absolutely look into Long Term Care Insurance. I wish I had that now. It is a lot better to pay $7000 a year now than $7000 a month later on for either Home care or placement in a Continuing Care Facility.
Many people have asked me how they too could live into a healthy old age. Here is what I tell them. There are 3 things that you must do.
Eat right, exercise and watch an hour of porn every day. This last one will really get your heart pumping.
