University Of Kansas Offers Positive Masculinity Workshop

You can't be much of a man if you have to go to a workshop about it.

The Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity at the University of Kansas....
I seriously doubt they'll be teaching, 'When it's time to open a six pack of whoopass' or, 'Cue balls are weapons too!'.
Thinking more like, "When a man has permission to stand his ground and key words to use" and perhaps, "Do I call 911 or might that be disempowering for her?"

Dude, just learn to cook a steak and don't care about the correct wine. PBR is fine anytime. Oh, and it's OK to hide the remote too.

I belong to a veterans organization that has some unusual members. One member of my chapter -- now passed away -- was a member of the 503rd Parachute Infantry in WWII. They jumped onto the Rock -- Corregidor.

Because the drop zones were so small, and the men were carrying about 150 lbs of weapons, ammo and other gear, the Navy had PT boats circling the island. When a trooper missed the drop zone and came down n the water, they'd dash over and try to snag his parachute. When the jump ended, the PT boats were full of gagging, retching paratroopers. They were supposed to be taken to an aid station ashore.

There is a beach at the foot of the Rock, and the troopers saw it and began yelling, "Land us there! Land us there." As they were wading ashore, they were sharing what few weapons they had left -- most men had cut away everything when they found themselves headed for the water. Those who had no weapons gathered up armfuls of rocks on the beach.

They fought their way into the fortress and cleared the first level in hand-to-hand fighting, then started up the stairs where they met the rest of the regiment coming down.

What's a man? Find someone who has made a parachute assault and an amphibious assault on the same morning, and stormed a Japanese fortress armed only with rocks -- THAT is a man!

Great fun it would be (before the cops were called to throw you out) to attend this workshop & let the pansys know how you feel about this idiocy.
