I remember a former actor who achieved high office. Sure wouldn't rank any professional politician as automatically preferable to a celebrity, but it depends, of course, on what KIND of celebrity. Sara, unfortunately, was not the right kind, & would have been much more effective had she just stayed a cheerleader for the things she advocated.

I'm sure McCain didn't uninvited her. The spin doctors did and having Palin there would upset the little apple cart they're building atop McCain's corpse. Look at how the left and the media are portraying McCain. Do you think they want Palin there to run interference? After all Palin = Tea Party.
