You wouldn't believe how many NRA decals I've got ...

I've been a member since the mid 70s so I've
collected quite a pile of them.
A friend knowing I'm a NRA member asked me if
I had any spare decals he could put on his car
rear window or bumper. I said No, I hadn't any.
I figured friend or not if he wanted to protect his
guns and display his membership then he should
become a member, like me. His excuse for not
being a member is that he doesn't want his name
    on a "list"
What do you think ? What would you have done ?

I'd advise him, the decal is a advertisement to get your car broken into.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

You did good, dt. People shouldn't claim credit for things they didn't earn.

Not likely--even a miserable junkie-thief is smart enough to know most members don't ordinarily drive around with guns in their vehicles. (I do, but then I live in a place where I never lock my truck, & seldom even take the keys out of the ignition.)

In some left-wing places, however, due to the vicious hatred of NRA members whipped up by those "love-trumps-hate" Parkland kids with the help of Bloomberg's money, a decal might result in vandalism of your vehicle, though even that's improbable. However, I admit that I have removed the "stars & bars" license plate I once had on my truck.
