    Rahm out in Chicago

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Tuesday that he is not seeking re-election for a third term amid withering criticism over his administration’s policies and a soaring violent crime rate in the Windy City.

I can't celebrate as we may be jumping from the fat to the fire. It's Chicago after all and it's not as if there will be anyone good stepping up to the plate. Progressives always get progressively worse with the passage of time.

It was interesting to watch his confused look at news conferences, he will be missed by?

No! Let him run -- the more incompetents the Democrats field, the more people see them for what they are,

Really? And if he wins? How long must we put up with him and how much damage will he do in four, or possibly eight years? Obama goals and Slick Willie brains....NO, THANKS!

He won't win -- his failure in Chicago will haunt him,

C'mon now Vern. Obama was an unqualified walking disaster in the real world. Rahm and the Machine put him...where? For how long?

He never should have been Mayor of Chicago yet he was.
Update, Jan. 25, 2011: The Illinois Supreme Court has ordered Rahm Emanuel's name back on the ballot until it hears the case.

Let him run -- we'll see how far he gets.

Unless he actually did renounce his US citizenship in the past, he has the right to. He can surely get the Chicago/Cook County Machine to back him at least partially. That Machine has festered to the point where Al Capone now looks like a small time player by comparison.

                    ***Rumor has it:

The Willie Wilson Foundation is suspected of paying protesters at the Kavanagh hearings. Guess who's been busy buying votes by handing out cash in 5 to $600 lumps in his quest to be the next Chicago Mayor?

If they can bribe their way into the White House, it won't matter who their candidate is. But if there's even a little integrity in the system, Rahm Emmanuel is the candidate the Republicans should hope for.

He's probably feeling the heat over his comments on how the values of some communities are contributing to the crime problem. He bucked The Party Line, Lefties don't like that.
