Too obvious. Some deputy at State or Defense. Trump should expend energy on governing, not ferretting out people who don't think he's up to the job. Because those people are literally everywhere.

IMHO the whole idea was to foster dissension, mistrust, etc.

Feels false flag to me, but certainly a real source. If he/she is discovered, they will be quickly removed and hired by the reelection campaign.

Red's back in a homo phase, but no matter. My point is valid. What better way for Trump to confound the critics than to get his sh*t together, turn off Fox and engage on the issues and make it about something other than the Greater Glory of Trumpworld for a change. When Reagan drifted into Iran-Contra and got caught out, he rallied and finished out his second term strong. If Trump reacts to this by unleashing his inner Gestapo to find the offender, he's just reinforcing the picture that is painted by this op-ed and, we are told, Woodward's book.

You might be right .... but who did it?

Was it his "fellow" Republicans ?...... meaning we've found the real "Deep State " as there doesn't appear to be a lot of Dems on his payroll ??........ or

Or was it trump himself in order to continue the Reality T.V. show ... and garner more sympathy from his loving base .....

sorry boys and girls but the man brought it all on himself... and onto you too

A real leader never would have gone so far out of his way to make so many enemies just because he'd get a cheer from you doing it....

                A mini-Reichstag fire? Interesting theory!

More like Hitler (Adolf, not Donald) sowing misinformation about Stalin's generals resulting in how many being executed on the eve of WWII? Someone is waving a red cape at Donald to get him charging about, trampling his staff.

Some of his staff need trampling.

I think if it is ever disclosed, it will be some mid-level staffer who thinks they are more important than they are. Look fow who has lost documents, filed them late, ... If any...could be misinformation (also stated as fake news) to create wasted effort. Could have been sent by anyone or no one, just made up. Socialist Democratic-Liberal party members make up stats and 'facts' that are not true and require someones effort to debunk, by then the lie has passed off stage and there is a new one.

Is there any law that the offender could/would be prosecuted under?

I've been to just a few Red. Cheap beer, usually a story or two. I don't smoke, so didnt go very often because that was always a negative.

My service to the US Government grants me the ability to join any veteran's organization. I just have other things to keep me busy and engaged. Clubs are just something of a bygone era I guess.

I would think that would more than qualify for a VSM or similar. Welcome home.
