    How we got Trump

And they still don't get it. The D running for Guv'nuh was asked if he would push for a 'Medicare for All' and said 'Definitely'.

We rejected that by a 70% NO and he wants it.

Medicare for all is a winner in many places. At a minimum, keeping in the ACA rules about pre-existing conditions has wide support.

Free stuff is always "a winner in many places" - until the Government takes 80% of what you make and you have NO CHOICES, or the freedom of making ANY decisions about how to run your own life - without your own money you WILL do what society says you must.

Socialism in any form (including medical) is immoral and wrong - what you make is yours - and it is not the property of society's leaches who sell their votes to put people in office who deliberately STEAL the wealth of the hardworking via taxation to gain their own political power. (Liberals, Democrats, Progressives, Globalists - all the same, ultimately out to take what is yours and control your life. )

But we know you like that kind of thing, togor.....

What you say is absolutely correct -- but don't reply directly to the troll.

Politicians, especially liberals, aren't known for telling the truth.
There are TWO health service programs. Medicare (for the elderly on Social Security) and Medicade for the poor on welfare.
Politicians conflate the two. Promising Medicare for all..........which is BS. Medicare will go broke in about 2028 at current expenditure rate.
Medicare covers 50% of medical costs. Medicade covers costs..........you just wait in line. WHEN you can find a doctor who will accept it.

So if EVERYONE gets 'health insurance' from the government (the same folks who did a great job at the VA).....you can bet everyone (except the ruling elite)
will get Medicade. So we can all be equally miserable.

So look forward to "You're Mom is 82. Perhaps it's just better she die, rather than get that hip replacement."

But look on the bright side. The government will kill off all the people that are currently pushing Social Security into insolvency.

Medicare is socialized medicine for people past a certain age. As other countries have shown, there is nothing magical in a political sense about setting the age of eligibility. In any case, look at West Virginia, a big Trump state, and the campaign Joe Manchin is running. Not to put too fine a point on it, but I find it ironic that seniors like Vern on socialized medicine are looking down their nose at all of those Trump-loving socialists in West Virginia. Vern you're good enough with numbers to know that without the right kind of insurance, it doesn't matter how much you have in the 401(k) if you or your wife gets the wrong kind of sick--the industry would get it all. And if not the health people, then the folks running the nursing homes.

Like many of you I am on Medicare now. To have decent coverage you have to take out supplement ins. which cost extra. I pay roughly $700 a month for me and my wife with no eye exam or dental coverage. Not free.

Let me point out, Allen, your Medicare is bought and paid for. The FICA tax, money taken out of your paycheck, goes to Social Security and to Medicare. Don't fall into the Regressive trap of assuming that Social Security and Medicare are just like the other "entitlement" programs.

By the way, note the typical narcissist behavior in post #8. The Troll assumes his imagination is reality, and he knows what other people think and believe.

Let me point out, Vern, that Medicare taxes get pulled out of my check to pay for you and Allen.

Countries like Canada with dispersed rural populations and countries like France and Germany with concentrated urban populations have all shown us that the current patchwork American system by comparison needlessly diverts money to the health industry. It may well only be a matter of time before the whole thing gets nationalized for the simple reason that healthcare costs go up faster than incomes. I don't think Wal*Mart and Amazon are gonna bail us out.

Not knocking Wal*Mart. They've done terrific things with the cost of generic drugs. But there is only so much they can do.
