To Vote or not to Vote, that is the question ...

With apologies to the Prince of Denmark.
This coming election is a real puzzler - will it be a disaster
for the Democrats or a disaster for the Republicans ?
If the Repubs don't begin to show some gonads and get
Kavanaugh nominated then their base is going to yawn
and stay home to watch the Opera on TV. If on the hand
the Dems totally overplay their hand with this ever growing
number of accusers then many of the more moderate
members of their party might very well stay home and watch
re-runs of Gomer Pyle on the TV.
My own inclination would be to vote for Trump. That is, to
make sure he keeps both houses so that he can keep on
with his agenda - that really is the important thing, forget
    all the other crap.

From locally if one is on the government plantation socialism is the call, if one works then capitalism. The plantation residents do not vote as often and I am thankful for that!

I never yet abandoned a fight, and I'm not going to start now.

15 years ago, Arkansas was a Yellow Dog Democrat state. I and a handful of like minded people set out to change that -- when we couldn't find a candidate, I even ran for Congress.

After several years of hard work, it began to pay off. More and more Republicans got elected. Today, Arkansas has seven "constitutional officers" (Governor, Lieutenant Governor, etc.) All seven are Republicans.

Arkansas has six members in its congressional delegation -- two Senators and four Congressmen. All six are Republicans.

Out of 100 State Representatives, 75 are Republicans.

Out of 35 State Senators, 25 are Republicans.

Don't tell me it can't be done -- I was there when the paper was blank.

Well done. But we have until November
and at this late date it's still a toss up. What's that saying ?
"Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst"
How does one prepare for the worst ?

First of all, one fights like hell NOW. Contribute money to candidates, hold rallies and so on.

And if you lose begin preparing for 2020!

At the siege of Acre, Richard the Lion Hearted built a trebouchet. The Muslims, using lighter catapults high up on the walls, took out his trebouchet. The Chroniclers wrote, "With shot from the walls, they brake his engine. But he builded it up again, and by dint of repeated blows, he smashed the Accursed Tower."

And that's what we did in Arkansas. By dint of repeated blows, we smashed the Accursed Tower.

I'm in California so giving money to a Republican candidate is about
as useful as trying to raise the sea level by pissing in it.

Give it to a candidate in another state! Pick a candidate who has a chance of unseating a Democrat and support him.

And never stop talking up your local Republican candidates -- no one would have believed we could turn around so many Yellow Dog Democrats in Arkansas, but we did it.

Locally I have fun pocking holes in liberals thoughts, speak the truth and shoot holes in their lies. Use to do this at work and watch them sit there and turn red in the face. Use facts against their fiction and keep to the truth.

A friend is running for State House as (I), no GOP candidate and I am helping his campaign, plus donate to and helping a R county commissioner and R State Senate candidate, piggybacking for him as I help the state rep. And with Polis running for Guv'n'uh, calling this East K-fornia is too close to the truth.

                    P.S. Good on ya, Vern.

Not if we prevent it. Now is the time to WORK and contribute money.

What the Dems on both the left and right coasts do not understand and will never understand are us deplorables. They have isolated us and insulted us. Many of my neighbors are sickened and pissed off by what they are doing to Judge Kavanaugh. We will vote.

And that is the best answer to their despicable conduct -- vote in more REAL Republicans.
