    Richard Blumenthal

If you watched the so called hearing yesterday you probably saw and heard Senator Richard Blumenthal condemn Judge Cavanaugh of everything but high treason. Buddy of mine mentioned that Blumenthal had once made a speech to Vets. returning from Iraq or Afghanistan about how rough it was adapting back to civilian life as he had experienced the same after he returned from Nam. After looking around on the Internet I found that he had FIVE DEFERMENTS so that he could finish law school at Yale. He later managed to get in the Marine reserve and served on the TOYS for TOTS program in Washington.. What a POS. never was in Vietnam..

“Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36)

Blumenthal is an example of left-wing narcissism -- if he says it, it must be true, so he can tell any lie he likes.

Blumental also claimed to be a hero in Viet Nam. After the truth came out he said, "I didn't lie. I mis-spoke." Another left wing BS artist.

The War on Terror has made military service a resume embellisher and service in Vietnam has become noble, honorable and manly, hence we have a new crowd of poseurs.

You bet we do -- it is no longer possible to publicly sneer at combat veterans.

Blumenthal, how can people give anyone like him ANY credibility? Believe me, if you were in Vietnam you would know it, and if you weren't you damn sure would know it. A party that embraces him, well it speaks a lot for the party.

Oh, the old, "I miss-spoke". That's DC talk. He's not the only one that's used that excuse for lying. Sometimes you might actually miss-speak but in this case, as mentioned, you kind of know if you were in Vietnam. What is it with the fakers? I can't imagine trying to get away with that crap.

Problem is, the public makes no distinction between combat veterans & them that worked in the motor pool, stocked warehouses, or handed out toys to tots.

Maybe to some dealing with tots is kind of like combat. I was driving this morning and went by a school that advertised that they taught autistic kids. That's combat. Those instructors deserve a ribbon. But not combat aluders.

Dryheat, you hit the nail on the head " you kind of know if you were in Vietnam" just like you would kind of know if you took a polygraph test after attending your grandmothers funeral or maybe it was the day after I'm not sure... The accuser is FOS. GOP screwed up big time when they selected the female prosecutor to question the accuser.. just my 2 cents.

Yes, the prosecutor was stupidly ineffective--even the dems are saying that! But it was a case of damned if they did & damned if they didn't. A single hard or probing question might have caused that contemptible weakling to break down in tears, & think of the hay the left-wing media would have made of that! That men & women are equal is one of the central principals of the liberal religion, yet while it's A-OK to viciously attack a male witness, it would be considered savagely "insensitive" to treat the ladies the same way.

I think that you guys missed the point with Blumenthal. I'm certain that he employed the finest military tailor to supply his dress blues, and, I'm certain that he was absolutely stunning in that uniform while he was handing out those toys. Regards, Clark
